The 2010 Tour is two days of extensive forms training including Best Practices in Forms Management and Designing Forms with Adobe Acrobat 9.

Day 1: Designing Forms with Acrobat Professional 9

This one day course introduces various techniques used to create electronic fillable PDF forms with Adobe Acrobat. PDF forms can be distributed through email, on CD, or published to a website. PDF files can be designed as interactive forms streamlining the process of filling out a form and of collecting information. In this course we will explore the different types of PDF forms, creating a form and finally, collecting and managing form data. We will learn how to convert paper forms to interactive PDF forms, adding text fields, check boxes and buttons, and then distribute the forms. We'll look at how to track and manage forms. Finally, we'll explore the use of Adobe LiveCycle for form design using one of the many templates available, or "from scratch." This is a hands-on session. Laptop computer will Acrobat Professional 9 installed required.

Day 2: Best Practices in Forms Management

This course covers the essential elements of a best practices forms management program. These elements apply to all types of organizations. Attendees will obtain a working understanding of what these elements are and how they fit into Best Practices.

Strategy - Developing the elements of a good forms management strategy and a senior management forms policy statement, the importance of a strategy, and selling the strategy to your organization.

Structure - Where should Forms Management report? How is the structure implemented throughout the organization?

Staffing - What jobs should be performed? How many people do you need?

Policies, Processes, and Procedures - Developing a program manual and style guide. Standard FM policies and processes

Forms Control - Managing the forms development process

Technology - What technologies should you use and what support is required?

Metrics and Management Reporting - Tracking and selling the benefits of your contribution to your organization

Tips and examples will be included in the course.
