Open
to all forms professionals, Formspace serves as an unmoderated forum
for the free exchange of critical information, opinion and support on
any forms-related topic. All subscribers
to Formspace are asked to read the Terms
of Use document, especially the section on "Prohibited
Communications," before participating. In addition, users on the
Formspace forum are requested to comply with these policies:
If you are subscribed to Formspace and wish to turn on your e-mail client's auto-responder
feature while you are away from the office for a period of time, you are asked
to unsubscribe from Formspace first. Then resubscribe after you return to your
office and your auto-responder is turned off. This ensures that the users group
will not be flooded with unwanted "Out of the Office" e-mails while
you are away.
When replying to a digest format message,
please delete the digest from your reply. Failure to do so creates an illegible
digest-within-a-digest
for that day. Also be sure the reply’s subject line matches that of the
discussion thread.
Each posting to the list should be in plain ASCII text (no HTML formatting), and
must contain at least one of the following: a forms-related question, or a response
to a forms-related question, or an announcement of a non-commercial resource for
the forms and information systems community.
Postings should have a short, descriptive subject header and a detailed message
body.
Please keep discussion civil and constructive, and take heated discussions and
non-constructive comments off the list.
Postings of complete applications are never allowed, but code fragments can be
posted for the purposes of discussing programming issues.
Attachments are not allowed on the forum, but users are welcome to send them to
each other off-list.
Commercial announcements are not allowed on the forum except in connection with
Formspace Sponsorship.
Anyone posting a commercial announcement will be asked to cease their abuse of
the forum.
BFMA recommends that first time users read
some of the postings in order to better understand the procedures.
The use of profanity, flaming, abuse, or general
rudeness is strictly prohibited. Violators of list policy will be given a warning
off-list and will be advised to comply in future postings. A second violation
will lead to suspension without notice for one week. The third violation will
result in permanent suspension from Formspace.
Please note that any information you post to Formspace is
available to all persons accessing the list, and may be reprinted in BFMA’s inFOCUS
newsletter with your name, company and job title.
