Advances in technology have changed the way people use media, and change is happening at a faster rate. Just a few years ago, most people had to sit at a desk to surf the web or use applications on a computer. Amazon recently announced that it sells more e-Books than hardcover books. Are E-Readers a viable way to read not just books, but business documents? Can E-Readers be used to collect information and enhance business process in the enterprise?
Marc Austin will explore these questions from the perspective of his current position at Amazon.com and over 10 years in automating workflow with mobile applications for smart phones and PDAs. He'll demonstrate Canvas, a product he produced to turn paper forms into mobile apps for smart phones and tablet computers. He'll also demonstrate Kindle's ability to read business documents and ask how convergence may make it a viable technology for business forms management.
