Business Forms on the Apple iPad
We began to talk about business forms on the iPad at this year's BFMA Forms and Technology Conference in Chicago. Many of you have written to me with your insights on this important subject. Although this is a new topic for BFMA, our collective experience with business forms has relevance for this new device. We can't let the teenagers have all the fun.
I am writing to bring you up-to-date with our iPad experience since the Chicago show. We talked about how the iPad is an ideal device for a mobile worker. It is a lightweight and popular touchscreen tablet that started as a consumer device but is quickly moving into business. We demonstrated our free SmartDoc Expense Report iPad app in Chicago. Since then, Apple has accepted our SmartDoc Expense Report for distribution on the App Store.
You can reach the App Store from either your iPad or your iTunes program on your PC or Macintosh. To locate the SmartDoc Expense Report app, search for "smartdoc expense report" and the App Store will automatically load our app. You can use it to create expense reports while on a business trip. What surprised me most since the app's release is the huge volume of iPad users who are looking for business forms. Our servers have created over 2,000 PDF expense reports from iPad users across the world with no advertising or marketing besides Apple's App Store. I have also received daily emails from users who are looking for other types of business forms for their iPads. This new mobile device is clearly the wave of the future for business forms.
