Forms Event in DC
BFMA members Kelli Lozada Reece and Casey Tricarico hosted 20+ organizations and over 50 participants at a forms event held at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) on September 28. Many local BFMA members from the Nations Capitol Chapter were in attendance as well.
The day was a great success with much collaboration and discussion. Woody Hall, the guest speaker from General Dynamics, said forms are "in the midst of transition." The speaker made the connection that forms programs across the region are clearly redefining, reinventing and propelling our forms programs forward to a future of interactive forms. Learning from others is a key to success. Mr. Hall encouraged managers to push the envelope and make the leap forward to make their programs more robust.
Internal Revenue Service employees Paul Showalter and Karen Gill, both BFMA members, presented a session on IRS tax forms. Speakers from international clothing company Under Armour, Regis Burns and Amanda Oxenrider, presented information about their program implementation with SharePoint and InfoPath. These are two very different organizations building forms, looking to the future, and making changes that affect the general public.
