In any case, this information needs to be gathered in an efficient and effective way. This webinar will add clarity to the process. We'll explore multiple ways to collect online data including free hosted services, PDF forms, web forms, and Flash files. The objective is to clarify what resources are needed for each technique and what limitations may arise. Web forms or Flash files are most customizable, but can be the most complex to implement. In this session, Diana will share how the Illinois Department of Transportation was able to transform its antiquated formsmanagement program into an ISO certified process which ensures that all forms are approved, standardized, accessible to userswith disabilities, available at points of use, reviewed at regular intervals for continued suitability, and protects against the unintentional use of obsolete versions. This session will be valuable to anyone that is responsible for creating a forms management system, struggling with compliance, or faces challenges due to the size of their organization. Diana will begin with background on the challenges facing the department, how the department chose to use a hybrid approach to centralization, the decision to use Microsoft SharePoint as the primary distribution method, struggled with training and compliance issues all the way to current operations and plans for future improvements. Though presented through the lens of a transportation agency, this session is applicable to anyone trying to provide and maintain structure in their forms management program.
